The following is a letter regarding a change in the NMRID board:
Dear Members,
I am writing to inform you of changes to the current 2009-2011 board of directors. Erin Mares, NMRID Vice President, has resigned from her position effective March 1, 2010.
Article IV, Section 4, Part D states, "Vacancies in the Board shall be filled for the remainder of the term by a majority vote of the Board." In accordance with these bylaws, the board has met and has voted to appoint Rhiannon Sykes-Chavez effective May 1, 2010.
The board would like to thank Ms. Mares for her service. We wish her well in all of her future endeavors. We would also like to thank Mrs. Sykes- Chavez for her willingness to assume the role and responsibilities of Vice President. We look forward to working with her and continuing to serve the New Mexico interpreting community.
Sincerely,
Dana Sumrow
NMRID President
